Help a 5th Grade Family Through a Tough Time

More than 60 families have volunteered to deliver meals and groceries to the family of 5th grader Sasscha Goin, who is undergoing treatment for leukemia.

Feb. 26 Update: The Goin family still needs our help, so please join the community if you haven’t already and sign up to bring groceries or a meal!

Jan. 22 Update: Nearly 50 families have joined the Helping Hands community to deliver meals and groceries to the family of 5th grader Sassha Goin, who is undergoing treatment for leukemia. Meals are covered through the end of February! Thank you to everyone who has joined and signed up so far. It’s a testimony to the strength of our community. Special thanks to PTA President ex-officio Amelia Reikenberg for organizing this! The family will need continued support, so please join the community if you haven’t already.

As you may know, a 5th grade student, Sassha Goin, is currently undergoing treatment for leukemia. Your PTA has been in touch with Sassha’s family about how her classmates and the Seth Boyden community can be of help while Sassha is undergoing treatment.

We have set up a calendar for the delivery of two meals a week and some essential groceries once per week. To help, go to this calendar on Lotsa Helping Hands and join the community. Once you fill out the form and click “Request to Join,” your request will be approved and you will be able to access the calendar and sign up to help deliver a meal or groceries. It’s very easy!

We are grateful that Sassha’s family has given us this opportunity to help them, and we hope you’ll join us in this effort!
